Image Compressor
Compress JPG, PNG, and WebP images in your browser — free, no upload, no limits. Drop a photo, set the quality, and download a smaller file in seconds.
Your file never leaves your device — there's no upload step at all. You can verify it: open your browser's DevTools → Network tab and watch as you use the tool. Zero file uploads.· Updated June 2026.
An AI chat can describe compression. It can't compress your photo. This does — on your device.

How this works
Use the tool locally, download the result, and contact VNG only when this needs to become a repeatable workflow.
How it works
- 1
Choose an image
Drag a JPG, PNG, or WebP onto the box, or click to pick a file. It loads straight into your browser — nothing is sent to a server.
- 2
Set max width and quality
Use the sliders to resize and trade quality for size. The preview and new file size update live.
- 3
Download
Click download to save the compressed image to your device.

Frequently asked questions
Do you upload my images?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device — you can confirm it in DevTools → Network, where you will see zero file uploads.
Is there a file-size or daily limit?
No daily limit. The only practical limit is your device memory, since everything is processed locally. Very large images may take a moment on phones.
Which formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, and WebP input. Output is optimized JPEG, which gives the largest size savings for photos.
Will compression reduce quality?
Lossy compression trades some quality for a smaller file. The quality slider lets you choose the balance, and the live preview shows the result before you download.
Is it really free?
Yes — completely free, no account, no watermark. The tool costs us nothing to run because the work happens on your device, not our servers.

Need this at scale — or something custom?
This tool runs entirely in your browser — that's the same privacy-first engineering we build for companies: dashboards, AI automation, data pipelines, and client platforms. One person, senior work, fast turnaround.
