How TaraLand treats children’s information

Last updated 26 October 2026. This page is for grown-ups. The page for parents says more about what is inside.

The short version

TaraLand does not collect information about children. There is nothing to sign in to, nothing to type your name into, and nothing that watches what a child does.

  • No accounts, logins, names, email addresses, birthdays, photos, locations or recordings, and nothing asks for them.
  • No ads, no analytics, no trackers and no cookies on any page a child uses.
  • No other company’s fonts, scripts, videos or embedded frames on those pages.
  • Progress (stickers, stars, settings) is kept on the child’s own device and never sent to us.
  • Nothing a child can tap leads outside TaraLand without a grown-up check first.

What the child’s device remembers

TaraLand keeps a small record in the browser’s own storage on that device: the age band a child picked, the sound and voice settings, the stickers and stars earned, the dates TaraLand was opened (the last 60) and the minutes played today. Where the browser allows it, it may also keep copies of public pages and pictures so TaraLand opens faster and, on some devices, without a connection. This record stays in that browser. We never receive it, and we cannot see it.

The only question TaraLand asks a child is “how old are you?”, and the answer only chooses a band (about 3 to 5, 6 to 8, or 9 to 12) for size and difficulty. It is not a birth date and it is not sent anywhere.

A grown-up can see and erase all of it, on the parents’ page or in the browser’s site-data settings.

What our server sees

Like any website, our server answers each request for a page or a picture, and ordinary technical records of that (such as which page was asked for, when, and the network address of the connection) can be kept for security and for fixing faults. TaraLand adds nothing to them, does not link them to a child or to anything a child does inside TaraLand, and does not use them for profiles, advertising or analytics. If you want to know how long such records are kept, ask us and we will tell you.

Other companies

TaraLand’s pages load only files from this website. The typeface is a copy kept here, the sounds are made by your own browser, and Tara’s voice is the speech built into your own device. If we ever list a video that lives on another website, a child cannot open it: only a grown-up can, after the grown-up check, in a separate tab, and that website’s own rules then apply.

Links out and grown-up pages

Anything that leaves TaraLand, the grown-ups’ corner and the pages for grown-ups are behind a small grown-up check (a multiplication question). It is a speed bump for a child who cannot read or multiply yet, not security. The outside links are buttons, not web addresses on the page, so there is nothing for a child to press and hold or open in a new tab.

Printing

The printable colouring pages and PDFs are made inside your browser from pictures on this site. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no email address to give. A name written on a printed sheet stays on the paper.

The rest of this website

This page and the parents’ page are part of the normal VritantaNextGen website, so they are covered by the site privacy notice as well. That notice describes what we do with the details you send through the booking form, which is the only way to contact us.

Your choices

We hold no information about children, so there is nothing for us to correct or delete. To clear what a device remembers, use the panel on the parents’ page. For a question about any of this, or if you think TaraLand has done something that does not match this notice, tell us through the booking page. Please do not include a child’s name or details: we do not need them.

If this changes

If TaraLand ever needs to store or send something new, this notice will change first and say so at the top, with the date.
